Ford is planning to relaunch the Ikon, yet again. The exteriors will be spiced up a bit and the interiors will get a all new treatment, since the interiors of the Ikon are not upto the mark of the current competition. The New Ikon will get the 1.4TDCi engine from the Ford Fiesta which will make the Ikon not only fuel efficient but also more fun to drive, since the 1.6 ROCAM engine has been discontinued. The Fiesta engine is very refined. Expect the new Ikon to give stiff competition to the rest of the brigade which consists of Indigo, Logan and soon the Swift Dezire. Ford should solve the biggest grudge of the Ikon, the BRAKES and price the car competitevely and offer total maintainance plans, something like what GM has done.
